We have a wide Client base, ranging from private individuals requiring bespoke services or advice, right through to large multidisciplinary consultants and main contractors who require large scale and complex ground investigations.

Our dedicated teams of drillers, engineers, utility surveyors, technicians and laboratory staff all play a vital role in ensuring that these services are delivered to quality, on budget and on time, every time.

Geotechnical Engineering Ltd operate throughout the UK and Northern Europe and have particular specialisation in the Rail, Highways and Utilities sectors. Our projects can range from a single day on site to weeks in the field and project values range from £1k to in excess of £1M.

Due to an increase in workloads, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Commercial/Estimating Manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be degree qualified, have a strong geotechnical or construction background and is likely to have a number of previous years of site experience. They will be familiar with Health and Safety legislation, construction contracts, technical specifications, prior experience preparing bids, and have excellent communication skills.

Working closely with our contracts team, operational managers and site based staff, you will be responsible for the timely production of bids and close client liaison. Depending on your previous experience, you will be assigned a specific market sector and assist the business development staff to increase new business and improve existing client relationships. The successful candidate will be methodical in approach, be able to work well under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.

We are looking for a client focused, ambitious, hardworking and dedicated individual, with great team work and communication skills. A UK driver’s licence is a pre-requisite.
