The identification and location of utilities and services are an essential requirement for any proposed development; not only to provide compliance with HSE and CDM but to enhance confidence in the knowledge of the site and its hazards.
Our team of surveyors provide a UK wide coverage and complete surveying solution from simple level and co-ordinate provision, to on-site utility detection and provision of site specific utility service plans and topographic surveys.
Typically, a survey would commence with sourcing all known utility providers plans prior to any site work. As part of the survey, we trace routes and depths of metallic, clay and plastic services using the latest sub-surface technologies; such as Electro Magnetic Locating (EML) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). GPR is a particularly cost-effective and fast method of getting real-time information about non-metallic services & underground storage tanks.
All our operatives are fully trained in the use of their equipment and are accredited CSCS, SPA, PTS, BESC, National Grid Persons, QCF level 3 & 5 Utility Surveying & Mapping and First Aid.
We can also undertake a full topographic survey of the site, producing a highly accurate survey plan. We will work with our clients to tailor a specification and proposal that suits their requirements. Utilising modern Total Station Theodolites, Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Survey drawings are normally delivered in digital format (DWG, DXF) in various 2D and 3D CAD formats; scales paper copies can be provided.
